Job Description.
Job Title : UX Copywriter
Location : San Francisco CA.
Duration : 06+ Months
Client : Castlight Health.

As a UX Copywriter, you'll be responsible for engaging Castlight's end users with clear and concise messages through a variety of in-product channels. As part of the Content & Channels team, you'll be responsible for expressing the Castlight voice of a "personalized health assistant” throughout the user experience. You'll work with Content team members, Product Managers, UX Designers, and our User Engagement team as part of a cross-functional organization.
We'll ask you to bring your expertise in copywriting and UX content development: finding the clearest and most engaging way to express an idea, being creative within constraints, giving our product a human, conversational voice, and putting the end user's needs first.

Job responsibilities
  • Write and edit UX copy for new and existing features including static UX content such as labels and CTA text, content for multiple states (empty states/error states), dynamic or configured text elements, and personalized in-app messages Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Work side-by-side with UX designers on wireframes, mockups, and other specs, and with Content team members to execute within messaging strategy and frameworks Apply UX content best practices and the Castlight tone and voice to engage users, drive in-app actions, and create an intuitive experience Revise and optimize copy and concepts based on data, end user testing, A/B testing, and other analytics Directly edit and configure content in Castlight internal CMS tools such as WordPress and other "homegrown” systems.
  • Select and manage photo and illustration assets as needed for projects. Update, standardize, and maintain the Castlight end user style guide.
  • Provide consistent execution of UX copy across features and product areas. Contribute to the creation of processes and tools that allow the Content team to continue to scale

Required skills and experience
  • At least 5 years of digital consumer content copywriting experience that includes email, marketing collateral, blog posts, and consumer education Demonstrated outstanding writing skills with the ability to write in a variety of different voices and styles based on subject, audience, channel, and end user behavior goals Passion for storytelling and user empathy/user-centric thinking Professional, poised presence in presentation and communication.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with exceptional sense of accountability Proven ability to manage multiple projects and creative ideas in a fast-paced environment Experiencing using digital content best practices, including technical applications (e.g. WordPress or other CMS) and digital content strategies and tactics (e.g. SEO, A/B testing, optimization for conversion)
  • B.A. or B.S. in English, Communications, Journalism, Mass Media, or other related field.
  • Desired but not required Experience in the healthcare industry Experience in a startup environment Experience with brand marketing Basic understanding of segmentation and targeting based on analytics
