Part-Time - Cardiac Monitor Technician

Position detail: PLEASE ready carefully.

As a cardiac monitor technician you will be responsible for remotely analyzing and annotating databases of normal and abnormal ECG rhythms. You will be provided with the necessary tools and equipment. The time commitment is as needed. However, on average, it is estimated to require around 20 hours/month. The initial contract will last for 6 months and may be extended.

Responsibilities:

• Interprets abnormal and normal ECG rhythms remotely using provided software.
• Measures the heart rate, PR interval, QRS complexes, or QT intervals on digital ECG strips as necessary.
• Refers to reference manuals/books when necessary to aid in interpretation
• Maintains necessary certification


Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or G.E.D plus coursework on electrocardiogram (ECG) rhythm interpretation
• At least six (6) months of experience as a cardiac technician
• Certification in rhythm analysis (CRAT or CCT)
• Familiarity and comfort operating computer software (plusses: demonstrated expertise in learning how to use complex software and working with large datasets/files)
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Access to the internet
