Visual Designer III

 Responsibilities include:
  • Generate clear ideas, concepts and designs of training content and sales materials for internal and external audiences. Internal audiences include developers, integration engineers, and merchant support engineers. External audiences include small, medium and large merchants, developers and strategic partners.
  • Design and deliver for digital and non-digital platforms, which may include but not limited to, Internet and intranet sites, sales and training PPT presentations, case studies, email newsletters, videos, user experiences/interfaces (desktop, mobile), prototypes, promotional materials and other deliverables that require design support
  • Work with integration engineers and subject matter experts on developing content and visual treatment of materials
  • Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, design, content and methods of reproduction
  • Review, standardize or make changes to material prepared by other writers, support and integration staff
  • Design mockups, diagrams and charts to illustrate material and concepts
  • Familiar and experienced working with and designing around technical content and documentation, product technologies, APIs, SDKs, etc.
  • Arrange for development and distribution of materials via multiple delivery methods and content hosting sites
Desired Skills
  • Customer-driven, end-to-end creative and design thinking
  • Other design tools: Sketch, Zeplin, InVision
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • Experience in designing for one of the following areas desired, but not mandatory: eLearning programs, user manuals, documentation of systems or programs, training manuals, operational run books, installation guides, methods and procedures manuals, and articles regarding technical subject matter, e.g., products, systems, and facilities for technical newsletters or magazines

Years of Experience:   5-7 years of experience as a visual designer, UI designer or similar role
Degrees or Certifications: Undergrad degree in design, visual arts or relevant qualification is preferred
Best vs. Average: initiative, someone that is willing to go the extra mile in terms of generating ideas and bringing new ways to approach different things (how they message themselves, how they communicate, the training materials

Team: Merchant Product Group – Professional Services Organization
Purpose of Team/Key Projects: This team currently works on strategic partners and work with them to help them integrate Paypal into their business. This team does mock ups of what hat experience may look like. The majority of this person will do will be supporting the training of the employees regarding training content. This person will be working on the training and developing content for training and sales materials.

Reason for Posting: Increased workload for the team, need additional support to bring the training materials, PowerPoints, training site, etc. to life.
