Position Summary:

The Cloud services group is looking for world class server software engineers to join our technology innovation group focused on the rapid development of cloud based end-to-end mobile applications and services. This is an exciting area for Samsung: Cloud based service platforms and infrastructure to support mobility.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Implement, maintain and evolve cloud-based products and services
  • Integrate with external customer and 3rd-party system
  • Perform extensive research and analysis to make optimal architecture and design decisions
  • Analyze and improve security for Cloud application, provide expert guidance to Engineers on security
  • Write large amounts of code, perform code reviews, write unit tests
  • Write documentation
  • Interface with other groups including Product Management, QA and Operation
  • Create quick proof-of-concept prototypes
  • Participate in scrum team

Experience Requirements:

Preferred Experience Requirements:
  • Apache Kafka
  • Redis
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of hands-on industry experience
  • Hands-on experience developing cloud applications in JAVA for highly available distributed systems
  • Hands-on experience writing data model and doing optimization for NoSQL databases
  • Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis
  • Good knowledge of stream and batch processing, distributed caching, messaging systems
