Under the supervision of officials responsible for the coordination and accomplishment of facility maintenance and operation work, performs the duties of Facilities Technician, following recognized industry standards for such work in a safe and efficient manner. The following describes the major functions of the job but is not intended to be all-inclusive.
Performs work involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical. Evaluates, diagnoses, and troubleshoots buildings, systems, and equipment as assigned. Responsible for identifying materials and equipment needed for work to be accomplished and maintaining record of such expended on assignments. Work is performed under general supervision and performance is based upon completion of assignments and results obtained.
The Facilities Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repairs of all facilities of SRA buildings, acting as the contact for emergency situations. Additionally, the Facilities Technician will assess and consider daily 1) the safety of our employees, 2) the security of our assets and 3) the service to our members. This position will coordinate outside contractors or vendors for various services.

Reasonable physical abilities are required to perform job duties.
Three (3) years’ experience in the care of and maintenance of major facilities.
(3) years’ Experience for HVAC or Mechanical of maintenance
Skill in specific job duties must be acquired during probationary period.
