 Description
Manages one or more high-level, complex projects within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and cost, to deliver specified requirements. Projects focus on the internal/employee IT global infrastructure and end user services for eBay. They may be strategic in nature. Projects do NOT involve software development. Responsibilities may include resource allocation and all phases of the project life cycle (i.e. feasibility study, requirements, analysis, ROI, business plan, design, testing, and implementation planning). May regularly interact with management. Coordinates and directs the activities of project team members. May be responsible for cross-functional teams. Ensures all project requirements and/or objectives are documented. May obtain and manage external resources required for project completion.
 
Job Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience managing projects within one or more of the following areas is highly preferred: third party providers, compute, networking, professional services
  • Coordinate planning and delivery efforts across various technology, vendor and Infrastructure teams.
  • Organize and lead milestone creation activities resulting in the creation of a project/program roadmap.
  • Lead technical engineers in conjunction with the vertical manager to ensure work is properly allocated, planned, and executed across the project
  • Manage major activities, issues, and risks across teams in support of the program or portfolio.
  • Ensure measurable KPIs are developed for projects, and that they align to the overall KPIs for the portfolio space.
  • Manage stakeholder communication regarding deployment plans and deliverables. Ensure regular, active communication with adjacent project and external stakeholders, including international regions.
  • Identify project impediments and address including proper escalation to individuals/groups as needed
  • Contributes to and demonstrates a solid understanding of program vision and roadmap
  • Maintain awareness of cross portfolio/program synergies and actively communicate opportunities to simplify work across teams.
 
Day to day includes: manage Azure proof of concept, new vendor on boarding for customer service, and working with outsource service providers including Arise.
 
Interview Process: 15 min screen call, 30 min-45 min onsite
