Description
Job Duties: Analyze workforce, finance, and operational data to generate insights that will help improve the attraction, hiring, development, and retention of eBay's workforce, and ultimately improve the performance trajectory of the business. Build the data warehouse for HR to utilize. Build the next generation of self-service reporting for the eBay HR community. Work on identifying the various data sources related to HR and integrate those into the new created HR data warehouse. Improve the current reports and build new ones to help the HR community be more self-reliant with information. Work directly with HR and business stakeholders to translate business questions and hypotheses into structured analyses. Develop models and methodologies that will generate actionable insights for the business. Connect with the existing analytics community at eBay (and other external analytics communities) to develop the optimal approach/model for each workforce problem. Assist other researchers (vendors, academics and AWFs) in leveraging data to conduct research and answer questions about eBay's workforce. Guide the broader HR team in using new tools and techniques. Provide input to the HR Data Management & Reporting Team, IT, and HR Delivery Solutions teams in the implementation of an HR data architecture. Share insights with the HR, Finance and Business leadership and influence them to ensure adoption and measurable impact in eBay's outcomes. 

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Operations Research, Engineering, Computer science, Mathematics, or closely related quantitative discipline and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience in the field of data analysis or Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or closely related quantitative discipline and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of data analysis. 

Special Skill Requirements: statistical analysis tools, including SAS, SPSS, or R (2 years); database query tools, including SQL (2 years); data mining; data integration (2 years); data modeling (2 years); data warehouse architecture (2 years); qualitative analysis (2 years); business intelligence (2 years); Excel and PowerPoint (2 years). Any suitable combination of education, training, and experience is acceptable.
