Responsibilities:
The Chief Solutions Architect will have significant leadership responsibilities within the HMS T4NG team. They will be responsible for supporting proposals, supporting delivery, contributing to overall strategy, and providing leadership to assigned solutions architects. Specific responsibilities will include:
  • Act as lead author for Technical Volume of multiple concurrent T4NG TEPs.
  • Act as a color team reviewer for multiple concurrent T4NG TEPs
  • Develop Level of Effort (LOE) estimates for solutions
  • Collaborate with Capture and Proposal Teams to develop win themes
  • Collaborate with Capture and Proposal Teams to identify and validate teaming partners
  • Provide technical leadership to multiple concurrent delivery teams
  • Ensure task order delivery is consistent with proposed solution and compliant with Performance Work Statement
  • Collaborate with task Program Manager to develop Contract Program Management Plan and Work Plans
  • Mentor subordinate Solutions Architects as assigned
  • Conduct performance reviews on subordinate Solutions Architects as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology other related discipline AND 10 years of experience with software related projects; 10 years of additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 10 yrs. of experience designing and developing IT Architectures
  • 5 yrs. federal government consulting experience including proposal support
  • 5 yrs. of experience translating business requirements into architected solutions
  • 5 yrs. of experience establishing and documenting standards, guidelines and best practices
  • Experience creating diagrams and writing documentation to support all IT systems including network topology
  • Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs on development projects
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Travel Requirements:
  • Travel may be required to attend corporate planning sessions or to support client engagements
