HMS TECHNOLOGIES is looking for a Payroll Specialist interested in joining a fast paced and dynamic team! Our company is rapidly growing, and seeks a motivated professional to grow with us! The candidate will perform a wide variety of payroll tasks involving all aspects of in-house payroll administration/processing. This position is perfect for a candidate interested in a long-term career supporting the Payroll function for a large best in class corporation. The position allows the candidate to gain ample experience from interactions with various departments and processes. Researches payroll issues identifying appropriate resolution. Interfaces with accounting and general office administrative functions.

To be successful in this role you will need to:
· Performs in-house payroll administration for employees, including but not limited to, commissions, taxes, benefit deductions.
· Interfaces with and maintain effective working relationships with Managers and Supervisors. Ensures a high level of customer service.
· Keeps abreast and maintains working knowledge of all Payroll policies and procedures.
· Responsible to interpret, administrate and deduct from employee payroll, all court ordered wage garnishments and or Internal Revenue levies.
· Responds to employee questions regarding payroll, taxes, pay, etc. and resolves paycheck errors as appropriate.
· Prepares and produces special reports on request.
· Takes responsibility to understand work assignment and project priorities; adheres to administrative and Corporate organizational procedures; demonstrates initiative to ask management when unclear/uncertain.
· Performs at a level that assists in attaining overall and team-level performance goals.
· Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
· Trainings as required to best serve our clients

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • 5 years' payroll experience:
  • 1-2 years using ADP

· Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills with experience interfacing executive level officials
