Overview:
This project is focused on providing IT development support services to the Customer and product teams of a system that will consolidate, integrate and streamline the delivery of products to improve Veteran's access to care. We will provide support services to include all Agile SLDC services, post deployment, sustainment support and transition support services. We will be developing new systems, enhancing current systems and sustaining legacy systems.  
 
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Senior Functional Area Analyst include but are not limited to the following:
  • Working with stakeholders to conduct information gathering sessions. 
  • Conducting market research analysis and providing stakeholders with findings as well as providing solutions for improvements.  
  • Spearheading all business process reengineering activities.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Master's Degree in Engineer, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or other related discipline AND 10 years of professional experience in the same; 10 years of professional experience in Information Technology or related field may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 10 yrs. of experience with the analysis of business, functional, and technical activities and events.
  • 10 yrs. of experience working with stakeholders to document and strategize for process improvements for current business processes. 
  • 5 yrs. of experience providing market research on conditions that impact overall operational efficiency of an organization and identifying symptoms for process improvement.  
  • Prior experience or knowledge with any of the following: ProPath, Primavera, or Polaris.
  • Extensive experience and deep knowledge of process and risk.  
  • Prior experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Extensive experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint or other similar word processing tools.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.
Desired/Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Government agency contracting experience; VA preferred (VHA/VBA).
  • Knowledge of HL7 - a set of international standards for transfer of clinical and administrative data between software applications used by various healthcare providers.
Travel Requirements:
  • Some travel is anticipated.
