Overview:
This project is focused on providing IT development support services to the Customer and product teams of a system that will consolidate, integrate and streamline the delivery of products to improve Veteran's access to care. We will provide support services to include all Agile SLDC services, post deployment, sustainment support and transition support services. We will be developing new systems, enhancing current systems and sustaining legacy systems.
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Senior Functional Analyst include but are not limited to the following:
  • Working with stakeholders to conduct information gathering sessions.
  • Defining and documenting requirements, business processes flows, and diagrams.
  • Research and prioritize user and functional requirements.
  • Review, document and revise functional requirements and specifications.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or other related discipline AND 10 (ten) years of professional experience in the same; 20 (twenty) years of professional experience in Information Technology or related field in lieu of a degree; AND
  • 10 yrs. of experience gathering, defining and documenting the Client's needs and associated requirements.
  • 10 yrs. of experience writing the requirements, business processes and scope documents.
  • 5 yrs. experience facilitating requirements and information gathering sessions with senior level business and IT stakeholders.
  • Prior experience or knowledge with any of the following: ProPath, Primavera, or Polaris.
  • Prior experience working in an Agile environment defining user stories and other requirements artifacts.
  • Extensive experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint or other similar word processing tools.
  • Ability to work individually or in an Agile team setting.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.
Desired/Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Government agency contracting experience; VA preferred (VHA/VBA).
  • Knowledge of business process modeling and software development life cycle.
  • Knowledge of HL7 - a set of international standards for transfer of clinical and administrative data between software applications used by various healthcare providers.
Travel Requirements:
  • Some travel is anticipated.
