Overview:
This project is focused on providing IT development support services to the Customer and product teams of a system that will consolidate, integrate and streamline the delivery of products to improve Veteran's access to care. We will provide support services to include all Agile SLDC services, post deployment, sustainment support and transition support services. We will be developing new systems, enhancing current systems and sustaining legacy systems.  
 
Responsibilities:
The Program Manager is responsible for but not limited to the following:
  • Planning and executing all aspects of a program with the complete responsibility for successfully managing all technical, financial, contractual, and schedule aspects of multiple efforts. 
  • Working with customers to define requirements and serve as the primary contact for contract performance status.
  • Managing profit and loss for assigned programs.
  • Anticipates and fulfills customer requirements an expectations in the Government healthcare environment.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or other related technical discipline AND 15 years of experience with software related projects; 10 years of additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree OR a Master's Degree in similar discipline area or Business Management.
  • PgMP Certification.
  • 15 yrs. of experience in information technology in a consulting capacity, preferably with Federal Government customers.
  • 10 yrs. experience conducting and coordinating strategic planning of program/technical support activities and governance activities.
  • 10 yrs. experience planning and managing strategic portfolios.
  • 8 yrs. of experience in a management or supervisory capacity.
  • Prior experience or knowledge with any of the following: ProPath, Primavera, or Polaris.
  • Proven experience managing programs for Government projects.
  • Experience with developing high-level work plans, as well as experience with enterprise architecture, application development, configuration management, security and quality assurance. 
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Desired/Preferred Skills:
  • Agile Scrum or SAFe Certification.
  • Government agency contracting experience; VA preferred (VHA/VBA).
  • Knowledge of HL7 - a set of international standards for transfer of clinical and administrative data between software applications used by various healthcare providers.
Travel Requirements:
  • Travel is anticipated.
