PRODUCT OWNER IN MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT WITH ENTERPRISE DAM PROGRAM EXPERIENCE

Optimity has an immediate need for a Product Owner to work across client business and technology and teams to assist in an enterprise DAM program for a major studio in the LA area. The candidate will need to leverage business process and technical implementation project delivery expertise in the media & entertainment industry in order to provide strong Product Management activities focused on product roadmap planning, engineering team collaboration for solution design, business process and requirement advocacy, interdependency management, management and issue/risk management services as part of a broader transformation program:

Some of the responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Development and execution of detailed deployment plans across program business and technology stakeholders for system migrations
  • Collaboration with engineering and oversight of active migrations
  • Management of business stakeholder requirement gathering and process definition
  • Closely working with engineering team to define effort prioritization and feature rollout
  • Collaboration with engineering for design and solutioning to meet business requirements
  • Collaboration with business stakeholder groups to define SOPs for content specific business processes
  • Definition and execution of training plan and training materials for onboarding new business groups
  • Provide subject matter expertise and synthesis of the day to day design and implementation activities of the custom DAM application across all work streams (business requirements, technical design, integrations, system configuration & customization, testing and roll) providing detailed day-to-day direction and team oversight
  • Active management of vendor management activities to drive resource usage to maintain program/ project schedule commitments, milestones & budget
  • Identify project issues and risks and drive consensus and accountability around mitigation plans
  • Participate in change management activities associated with the implementation of new processes and updated roles to support the implementation of the custom DAM platform
  • Provide team oversight and facilitation of data model unification to validate metadata model, map legacy data to future state and create the data dictionary of all nomenclatures
  • Produce/ present communications/ presentations to various business/ technology stakeholders

To be considered, you must possess the following:
  • 4- 5 years of experience working with media organizations (preferable a major studio
  • 2-4 years of experience in working with enterprise DAM applications
  • Strong application of standard product management methodologies
  • Hands-on experience managing transformational software implementation projects in a multi product and multi services provider (vendor) environment
  • Sound understanding of production operations, technical services, creative services business processes and technology ecosystem
  • Extensive experience leading and mentoring in team-oriented collaborative environment
  • Experience in a "client " serving and management role
  • Be highly self-motivated, detail oriented and ability to execute in high pressure environment
  • Sound problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent and structured written, facilitation and communication skills
  • Leveraging project and development management tools such as JIRA, MS Project, at Task, etc.
  • Strong MS Suite skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
  • Good understanding of SDLC - Agile, iterative etc. processes and change management principles
