BUSINESS ANALYST FOR WIDE ORBIT PROGRAMMING

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst with Wide Orbit Programming experience in working the business and process transformation programs. This position is ideal for a mid-level consultant that has a passion for working with clients to understand their challenges, adapt to the unique situation of the client, and develop solutions. The incumbent will work within a team environment to analyze and compile client insights in order to deliver business solutions, operational and/or technology assessments, and strategic roadmaps.

Some of the responsibilities will include:
  • Interviewing business stakeholders and clients to understand business processes, synthesizing differing answers to questions, and read-between the lines with respect to stakeholder input.
  • Gathering and documenting both business and functional requirements into easily consumable artifacts for use in user experience web/ mobile projects or enterprise technology implementations requiring configuration of package and custom software
  • Work with business process owners to document future state business processes and training and how they interact with web/mobile and enterprise technology software
  • Assist in identifying the functional testing strategy and plan
  • Identifying and analyzing client data in order to assist with a data migration strategy to support future business process and technology implementation
  • Participate in Scrum-based agile ceremonies, including user story creation, planning and grooming, etc.
  • Lead and/or support research and financial modeling work activities to support business case for change
  • As necessary, interact with user experience designers to refine their work on visualizations, wireframes & prototypes that visually represent requirements.

To be considered, you must possess the following skills and experience:
  • A four-year college degree
  • Impeccable communication skills, with the ability to conduct and facilitate meetings with business stakeholders, clients and technical resources to gather requirements
  • At least two three years of experience in management consulting
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly SCRUM and the SDLC. Need to understand how to construct user stories, acceptance criteria, etc.
  • Extensive experience leading and mentoring in team-oriented environment
  • Experience in a "client " serving and management role
  • Be highly self motivated, detail oriented to work in high pressure environment
  • Sound problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent and structured written, facilitation and communication skills
  • Leveraging project and development management tools such as JIRA, MS Project
  • Good understanding of change management principles
  • Strong MS Suite skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
