Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or technology related field preferred. Ten (10) years of experience in developing enterprise and/or in integration architectures.
Gulfstream Aerospace is seeking an Integration Architect to Design and Build integration-centric offerings, process-centric offerings, multi-channel client architecture offerings that provide differentiated end-user experiences. The Integration Architect will also define and design integrated solutions facilitating a hybrid cloud strategy.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions: 1. Identify opportunities to innovate, extend and enhance integration across Business and IT. Coordinate with other Architects to provide technical leadership to drive Integration technology choices, strategy, and implementation decisions to achieve high reliability, performance, and adaptability of all technologies under the IT domains. 2. Serve on SOA governance boards to act as the main liaison between integration governance/user and technology interests within the organization, and facilitate and document the Integration Roadmap to champion SOA and its appropriate usage. 3. Understand the business process flows, requirements and perform analysis to identify the utility of APIs for a variety of scenarios and drive a market transition from SOA governance infrastructure to full life cycle API management requirements. 4. Define and develop a governance architecture to help an organization define, promote, secure and support access to APIs and application services for agile delivery and productivity, using identity governance tools and processes for delivering API and service governance capabilities. 5. Design and ensure standards-based federation, with API gateways to enforce runtime policies across multiple service implementations, augmented by plan-time and build-time capabilities. 6. Choose an API-centric governance architecture that affords control of service delivery when supporting fast-paced digital business requirements. 7. Define and design an API management platform to centralize a variety of cross-cutting runtime policy requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements: 1. Experience working with multiple application platforms, including .NET, Knowledge of RESTful web service design, API management, and both async & sync communication methods. 2. Understanding of API authentication types: e.g. OAUTH, SAML, OpenID. 3. Architectural expertise in the following areas; (a) Web services and associated protocols, standards and tools (SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML, etc.) (b) Managing teams of one to five indirect resources in a matrixed environment is preferred. (c) Self-starter, team player, and effective negotiator with advanced decision-making and diplomacy skills. (d) Demonstrates enterprise thinking and influence across functional boundaries. (e) Business functional experience is a plus.
A credit history check from a national credit bureau will be conducted for all candidates for this position including new hires and current employees seeking promotion or transfer.
