Brand & Marketing Content Strategist

From long-term planning to daily engagement, you'll be leading the brand/ marketing content and social media strategy for our client's software brand. In this role, you will play an integral part in helping to drive adoption of a new brand strategy across the organization by crafting and refining our brand voice across platforms. This includes web, social media, advertising, sales materials and key corporate assets. You will have an expertise in copywriting and an interest in helping companies tell their story.
 
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with proven skills and expertise in digital content programs (from audience insight development and narrative strategies to measurement and optimization). This also includes digital audience development chops (channel planning, testing, user growth strategies) etc.
 
We are looking for a proactive team leader who is comfortable with both high-level thinking and rolling up their sleeves to execute.
 
 
Primary Responsibilities
• You will own the development, evolution and adoption of an authentic brand voice and content strategy
• You will translate the brand's story and business objectives into innovative digital content programs across paid, owned and earned media
• Define standards and create guidelines to help ensure alignment across channels, globally
• Invent messaging and content experiences for our client that builds their brand
• Be the eyes and ears of our audience, the go-to expert on who they are and what they're talking about and the ability to distill insight into actionable tactics
• Lead creative briefings and brainstorms that elicits content that aligns with audience insights and support client goals
• Identify and implement new formats, platforms and media opportunities to creatively and effectively tell our client's story
• Provide guidance and ensure adherence to best practices across multiple digital and social media platforms
• Ongoing analytics reporting and analysis to offer editorial, platform and program optimization recommendations
 
Required Skills:
• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing, Marketing, English, Journalism or Communications
• 5 – 10+ years of relevant experience copywriting and developing content and brand strategies, social media and/or audience development strategies
• Demonstrated ability to distill marketing goals and audience insights into executable strategy
• Expertise in new media, video and social platforms, best practices, and how audiences use them to consume and share content
• A firm understanding of multiple digital marketing disciplines and experience in building integrated strategies (i.e. Social Media, SEO, SEM, Paid Media, Partnerships)
• Excellent writer with meticulous attention to detail
• Highly organized with strong verbal communication skills
• Outstanding project management skills with the ability to multi-task and track a variety of deliverables and deadlines
• Excellent knowledge of all MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
• Additional experience with video creation and editing software is highly preferred
