Position Responsibilities:
  • Apply business and communications concepts and skills learned and acquired in college to the workplace
  • Works cross-functionally to obtain data, information, facilitate the flow of information and learning
  • Support in the resolution of operational issues as required
  • Issuance of purchase orders
  • Creating and managing the RFQ process
  • Conduct a quality sourcing process with approved suppliers including preparing and issuing RFQs, commercial/business case preparation and presentation, and ability to drive teams to decisions that best support the company objectives
  • Gather, organize, and present data/information in a clear and concise manner to support decision making
  • Manage open ECRs (zero open performance baseline) within the required time frame
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality sourcing processes, terms and conditions, and resolution of outstanding supplier issues
 
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Finance
  • 1-4 years' experience in automotive procurement
  • Strong/above average Excel skills
  • High level of analytical /data-based decision-making skills

Preferred:
  • Experience working in Microsoft Office, ERP Systems
  • Self-starter
  • Adaptive to daily changes
  • Comfortable working with and organizing numbers and data
  • Experience applying/utilizing cost modeling to support/drive supplier negotiations and result
  • Total acquisition cost mindset
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Understand the importance of working in a team and building relationships
  • Comfortable speaking in large groups
  • Tooling knowledge is a bonus
