Position Responsibility:
  •  Creation of regional commodity strategy for plastic commodities
  • Execution of commodity strategy initiatives along with the regional procurement teams
  • Management of regional supplier relationships and overall performance (i.e. cost, quality, delivery)
  • Development of annual budget for commodity purchases, including cost savings and material economics fluctuations
  • Achievement of budgeted commodity savings and economics goals along with regional procurement teams
  • Management of commercial expectations with commodity suppliers to leverage regional spend
  • Approves sourcing decisions for regional commodity purchases
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or comparable studies (preferably with a major in Purchasing Management)
  • 7-10+ years' experience in direct material procurement experience within a manufacturing/automotive setting 
  • Experience working on a global scale: Ability to function within a global matrix operating environment
  • A strong KP and fact-based thinker with an execution bias
  • Regarded as a transformational or change agent
  • Strong collaborative (distance) leader and team coach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Outlook and PowerPoint as well as with a Global Purchasing System

If you are able to refer a person we do hire, we can offer up to $250 for contractors after they are on the job for 90 days and up to $500 for direct hires after they are on the job between 90 days to 180 days, depending on customer payment terms.
