Scope of Work
Normal Work Week: Monday through Friday (nights/weekend based on project need)
Hours Per Week: 40 hours (unpaid lunch hours)
Hours of Work: 8:00 to 5:00

Qualifications Requirements:
a. Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering with five years' experience in
electrical-related projects OR
b. A four-year high school diploma or its educational experience with nine years'
experience in electrical-related projects.

Experience Requirements:
a. A combination of experience and education to make up the equivalent of nine years
described above.

Licensing: None

Desired Skills/Requirements:

a. Knowledge of Direct Current (DC) and Third Rail Operations
b. Knowledge of electrical-based systems, installations and applicable codes and
standards.
c. Knowledge and/or experience with NYCT operations and mass-transit facilities
preferable.
d. Knowledge and/or experience with capital construction procedures and field
operations preferable.
e. Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Word and Excel. CADD
experience is desirable but not required
f.. The ability to write clearly, organize project information, prepare reports and
presentations.
g. The ability to coordinate with a multitude of users such as operations and
engineering personnel.

Description of Work:
Under managerial direction, the selected candidate(s) will provide field support during the
design and construction of capital projects:
• Support the Principal Electrical Engineer's office with various electrical-related
capital projects, especially with field surveys and investigations.
• Assist Principal Electrical Engineer or his designee with resolution of DC and third
rail work issues.
• Organize project information, reports; process design and electrical-related
documents; and interact with other  departments.

Work Requirements
30-Hour OSHA Certification is required.
 safety shoes, , which meets company guidelines and specifications when participating in any activities located on the track or wayside.
Must pass a one-day  Track Safety & General Order Training Course prior to
participating any in work CPM project.
