Project Description
: Review of technical and non-technical contract-specifications documents for
Capital Program design and construction projects.
Normal Work Week: Monday - Friday - 40 hours per week (unpaid lunch break)
Hours of Work: 8:00 AM to 4:30PM

Qualifications Requirements: Baccalaureate degree in architecture or any of the following
engineering disciplines: electrical, mechanical, communications,
signals or a satisfactory equivalent.

Experience Requirements:
• At least five years of full-time practical experience in engineering or architectural design,
including preparation and/or review of contract-specifications documents and drawings for
construction projects.
• Experience in project coordination and engineering or architectural supervision or management.
• Knowledge of various project delivery methods and payment types.
• Familiarity with construction administration and support activities.

Special Skills/Training Requirements:
• Familiarity with design and construction procedures.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.

Description of Work:
Review and provide mark-ups for Contract-Specifications documents at design completion stage, and
pre-award addendum changes for capital program design and construction projects. Assess
compatibility of specifications and drawings for in-house and consultant designs; identify
contradictions and other deficiencies, and ensure that effective resolution and corrections by Design
and Construction Managers, Engineers and Architects and their staffs are satisfactorily completed.
Ensure contract-specifications documents are complete, coordinated, concise and biddable before
issuing approval.
