Murex Techno-Functional Consultant for the Derivatives. Murex workflows (MXMLExchange) /Java/SQL Developer with a strong understanding of the Investments business domain.

Description
The Derivatives Application Management Team within Investments IT is seeking a dynamic and experienced Murex Technical Consultant to work on enhancements and operational support for the Derivatives application portfolio consisting of Murex, Calypso and a host of home-grown applications as well as closely partner with Application Development counterparts on strategic and regulatory initiatives that drive superior business value, enhanced customer experience and compliance. The associate is expected to interface with multiple Front Office trading desks, Portfolio Managers, Risk Management as well as Derivatives Settlements/Accounting, Securities Lending and Treasury groups across the globe. This is a very demanding role with an opportunity to collaborate with the experts in the Derivatives space.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the triage of critical Murex issues to ensure that Murex operational SLAs are met.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify the root cause of incidents.
  • Implement enhancements and bug fixes to Murex workflow.
  • Participate in key optimization initiatives undertaken by the team to meet strategic goals and enhance customer experience.
  • Collaborate with Application Development partners on strategic initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with the user groups being supported to exceed their service level expectations when it comes to service.
  • Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders, offshore service providers and vendors to drive synergies and deliver solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to architectural guidelines and IT risk policies.
  • Participate in rotational support to gain the breadth of knowledge across all Derivatives application areas.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of all Production issues adhering to documentation SLAs.
  • Report status and escalate issues and concerns to senior management as needed.

Prerequisites
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Solid technical background with at least 7 years of demonstrated track record in end-to-end software development life cycle and successful delivery of technical solutions using Murex and Java.
  • High degree of learning agility and willingness to take end-to-end accountability for issues.
  • Expertise in Murex, particularly workflows, and at least 4 years of hands-on experience developing Murex workflows for business solutions.
  • Good understanding of Derivatives products, asset classes and their lifecycle to be able to perform business analysis and understand the context around the technical issues/solutions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory mandates such as Dodd Frank, EMIR and Solvency I preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Accountability and ownership to drive solutions across cross-functional teams.
  • The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-pressure environment despite constantly changing priorities.
