Reliability Standards Specialist

Provide internal support for company-wide subject matter experts to review their processes for compliance, discuss concerns and offer improvement suggestions.

Participate in developing strategies and procedures to remain compliant with all reliability standards on an on-going basis.

Ensure timely revision of documents and availability of evidence for regional audits and NERC readiness evaluations and filing of the pre and post audit reports.

Facilitate and participate in conducting mock audits and internal assessments.

Monitor and help coordinate internal and external groups' (regional, MISO) discussions related to modification of existing or development of new standards.

Represent Client regarding compliance issues at Regional Reliability Organization and Industry meetings related to NERC, FERC, and Regional Reliability.Monitor and analyze FERC electric and natural gas activity and provide insight to the applicable Client's function.

Administer and maintain compliance training programs, manage OASIS posting requirements and coordinate with internal organizations like IT to verify protections are in place to meet the FERC Code and Standards of Conduct requirements.

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University required.Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance Engineering or Computer Science preferred.

Significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
3+ years of relevant professional experience in compliance or internal audit required.
2+years of professional working experience with NERC Reliability Standards preferred.
Experience with NERC,FERC,&Regional Compliance processes and Regional Compliance audits preferred.Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe,& SharePoint required.Demonstrated ability to be comfortable presenting issues and resolution in group settings is preferred.

Knowledge of the development of NERC Reliability Standards & FERC NOPR process preferred.
