Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Technician
*Immediate start for a 6 month contract*
*Hours are 6am - 3pm in a professional and production environment*
*Must be able to lift a min. of 50 lbs.*

Duties & Responsibilities:
> Learn and execute against preventative maintenance (PM) program
> Perform routine and advanced repairs to plant machinery, equipment and facilities.
> Perform equipment assembly as required for cleanup and/or change overs. Assist operators in debugging and/or trouble shooting for start up.
> Troubleshoot machinery and equipment breakdowns as promptly as possible to minimize production downtime.
> Communicate with management on problem recommendation and solution as needed.
> Assist in setting up & performing required preventive maintenance on all appropriate machinery & equipment.
> Provide assistance &/or training to others in maintenance & manufacturing as required.
> Participate in problem solving teams to improve cost and productivity performance of the plant
> Maintain inventory and replenish parts & supplies for plant equipment.
> Assist in installation and debugging of new equipment.
> Keeps maintenance areas and work sites within the facility clean and orderly in accordance with good manufacturing practices and company health & safety policies and procedures.
> Follow all CTS policies and government OSHA regulations. Must able to follow and complete all work permits and Pre-Job Hazard Assessment that apply to the work being performed. (Lock out, Hot work, Elevated Work, Line Break, Confine Space)

Required Qualifications:
> Min. (1) BS in Engineering OR (2) High school/GED with 5 or more years of manufacturing maintenance engineering experience is required.
> Mechanical aptitude and ability, electrical and/or electronics (PC/PLC Beneficial), instrumentation, welding/fabrication, plumbing, hydraulic,
> Minimum of five (5) years in a manufacturing environment. Technical skills through experience, trade schools &/or on-the-job training.
> Previous food industry experience
> Knowledge of food safety, GMPs, and HACCP
> Knowledge of and previous experience executing a preventative maintenance (PM) program
> NFPA 70 and OSHA 10 training
