• Tester Entry:
This position will participate in and assist with estimation of efforts on low to moderately complex projects and tracking the progress of these projects; execute and verify a wide range of quality – control tests and analysis to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements – may include analysis of problems where analysis of situations requires an entry level skill in evaluation of various factors; will utilize Requirements Analyst for understanding of requirement while executing test scripts based on the application requirements documentation; log defects, identify course of action and perform preliminary root cause analysis and may make change recommendation; document, evaluate and research test results; assist in creation of test data to thoroughly test positive and negative program logic; identify, recommend and implements process improvements to enhance testing strategies; participate in analyzing requirements and design aspects of projects, interface with client leads and other development organizations. Prefer have an Engineering, Science, or Computer Science degree and must have knowledge in the following:
a) Confident in the creation and execution of detailed test plans, script writing exercises and script execution to verify software functionality and adherence to business requirements.
b) Execution of scripts will include progress reporting, defect tracking, and risk assessments
c) Working across multiple cross-functional, cross site teams to complete tasks
d) Basic PC and keyboarding skills
e) Good written and verbal English communication skills with team and partners. Understanding of testing concepts, script writing, and script validation.
f) Ability to recognize risks or issues in a project and communicate back to management or project teams
g) High technical aptitude. Must be proficient in the following MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point, as well as familiarity with MS Project, MS Access, Visio, and Client QC/ALM.
