Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead all aspects of supplier relationship management with strategic raw materials suppliers - from strategy to operational execution
Develop robust partnerships with cross-functional teams
Develop and direct annual cost savings programs that directly affect company financials and growth plans and generate progressive year over year cost reductions.
Manage end to end commodity cycle from sourcing, supplier qualification, contract negotiation, performance, risk management, business reviews, forecast, planning, reporting, price, quality and lead times
Define and implement a best in class directed buy program, ensuring contract manufacturers purchase from preferred raw material providers
Develop a comprehensive price repository to develop 'Should Cost' models
Partner with the Commercial team to develop cost/price analysis and determine appropriate measures to take action with customer pricing
Execute RFx - prepare and conduct RFI's/RFQ's and manage suppliers and internal stakeholders through process
Develop cost targets for negotiations, negotiation strategy, and develop and negotiate supply agreements.
Lead supplier selection process, qualification of alternative sources, supply base rationalization programs and other relevant strategies to optimize the supply base.
Active Supplier Relationship Management: Development and measurement of KPI's, supplier audits, business reviews, improvement plans, new opportunities, awards, terminations, etc. including savings tracking and ongoing communication to management and stakeholders.
Act as Liaison for resolving supplier/product related issues on assigned materials/services.
Pro-actively conduct market analysis / benchmarking, track industry trends, and emerging technologies
Manage supplier communications, including soliciting supplier information, facilitating NDAs, and contract execution
Conduct supplier performance assessments as needed; ensure CoorsTek remains a priority customer
Effectively and independently manage multiple projects and deadlines
Anticipate roadblocks and proactively address issues before they impact business results
Quickly learn about our key sourcing requirements, including how our commodity strategy aligns with broader business strategies
Implement and manage a rebate program as required
Support Sr. Sourcing Manager as needed in strategy development and execution against high-value, high-risk, complex needs by leading data collection, validation, and analysis activities
Present project findings to cross-functional teams and senior leaders
Support other sourcing initiatives as needed
Deliver on cost reduction targets (Collaboration on cost efficiency of supply chain)
Job Requirements:
BS/BA in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or related field preferred or equivalent experience. Masters desired
5-8 years minimum experience in Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or Management Consulting

Experience in the manufacturing, or Engineered Ceramics industries preferred
5-8 years' experience in project management and experience managing large/complex spend categories in the range of $5M-$30M spend across various raw/direct materials
Previous experience in the development and utilization of key sourcing and supply chain management tools and processes required
Experience with lean and/or Six Sigma principles and project management preferred
Experienced in running supplier improvement workshops
Experienced in running supplier improvement workshops
Extensive experience managing sourcing projects from start to finish.
Proven ability to execute and generate cost reduction improvement.
Experience in negotiating pricing, contract terms and conditions including statements of work (SOWs).
