A Major Financial Firm is in need of a Senior Developer located in Charlotte NC or NYC .

Job Overview
Client Asset Management Technology is currently seeking a Senior Developer to provide full life cycle analysis, development, support and complex problem resolution that meets customer requirements and SLAs. The candidate should possess a working knowledge of the Fixed Income business and will work as part of an IT support team to create technical solutions in support of the Bloomberg AIM Trading system and other systems across the Asset Management IT Infrastructure. The individual will communicate progress, technical issues, and issue resolution, and will sit out of the Charlotte or NYC office.

Responsibilities
• Design and implement executable code solutions in accordance with business needs
• Create Project Documentation / SOX artifacts (e.g., Solution Definition Document (SDD), Technical Design Document (TDD)) that meet SDLC standards
• Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents to design and develop technical solutions that meet business needs
• Test the resulting components in accordance with company standards and as defined in approved testing plans to ensure quality output that meets stated business needs
• Investigate, analyze and document reported defects – raising issues as appropriate
• Analyze run time profiles to debug errors that may exist
• Create, document, and implement unit test plans, scripts, and test harnesses
• Create and execute implementation plan for technical deliverables as well as providing production support
• Support the Trading applications and ensure application stability for the user community
• Able to work evenings and weekends to support production releases and break fix

Required Qualifications
• 5-8 years of experience working at an Asset Manager or Insurance Company supporting critical trading applications
• Functional understanding of Fixed Income securities
• Working knowledge of Bloomberg AIM Trading System's acronyms and GNET Transformations
• Proficient in SQL Stored Procedures, Packages, Functions
• Exposure to Agile development following Scrum

Technical Skills
• Required - Oracle PL/SQL, UNIX Shell / Perl Scripting, ETL - DataStage/Informatica, Websphere MQ
• Desired - Bloomberg App Portal, DevExpress, MQ, Java/Vaadin, C# / .Net Framework, Autosys, Sterling Integrator, Jira, TFS

Education
• Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related technical area.
