Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor's of Science Degree or higher in Technical field; Mechanical Engineering degree preferred
Experience machining required
Cutting Tool Design required
At least 5 years' experience in high volume manufacturing process
Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
Minimum 2 years' experience working with Machine tools (CNC, Fixture setup, cutting tools)
Basic understanding of Tooling design and setup
Stamping Experience
Must be able to work on a cross functional team to design and implement continuous improvement projects
Must be self-motivated and able to work flexible hours
Able to work under pressure and in a stressful environment
Able to manage projects utilizing all available resources to meet budgets and deadlines
Must be able to troubleshoot issues and solve problems independently
Excellent computer skills including knowledge of MS Office Products
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong team player with an ability to be hands on when necessary
Commitment to company values
Travel may be required occasionally
Nonessential Skills and Experience:
MS Project a plus, but not required
SAP experience a plus (Will Be Required to Learn)

Responsibilities
Responsible for evaluating existing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability and develop best practices within the production process.
Evaluate and improve on processes in manufacturing systems
Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers
Develop innovative solutions
Show data driven results in reports
Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of production process
Drive continuous improvement culture by leading Root Cause investigations and developing forever fixes
Ensure projects are completed on time
Ensure financial budgets are followed
Hands-on; 70% on the manufacturing floor 30% Office
Able to lead and direct team members in best practices for machine setup, tool setting, die setup and repair
