Data Network Engineer

This role requires an intimate working knowledge of security technologies IPSec, DMVPN, 802.1X, MAB as well as expert hands on knowledge and validating/ gauging expected behavior for dynamic routing protocols- OSPF, BGP, MP-BGP, WAAS, WAN, MPLS, multicast, QoS, virtualization, Wifi, next generation Core, Branch Office/campus and Datacenter design. The role holder is also expected to provide thought leadership on emerging branch, campus, wireless technologies and architectures. The candidate will be responsible for the ownership and authoring of test documents, selected design documents, release notes and more. He will be collaborating with other Engineering and Opertaions teams, presenting to senior management, mentoring and knowledge transfer to team members across the organization. Candidate must possess excellent business writing and presentation skills as well as demonstrate ownership and being proactive.

Skills required:

This is a senior engineer role for someone with CCIE or CCIE-level experience - intimate hands on knowledge of complex network designs, dynamic routing (OSPF & BGP), QoS, Matrix switching and network instrumentation- taps., SPAN, netflow, sFlow, QoS, VRF, etc

Experience Designing, Configuring and Troubleshooting Cisco Wide Area Application Services WAAS or similar vendors.

Experience Designing, Configuring and Troubleshooting WCCP on IOS Routers and Cisco AppNav Deep Understanding of TCP/IP and application performance.Deep understand of IP Routing and Switching in the Campus and Data Center enterprise environment.

WAN technologies- MPLS VPNs, DMVPN,WAN Acceleration a major plus

Wireless a major plus

Segregation and security features such as TrustSec, policy automation, encryption, overlays, VRF, 802.1x, MAB, RADIUS, MACSec, IPSec etc.TCP/IP protocol suite.

IP unicast routing: BGP, OSPF, RIP, Spanning Tree, ECMP.IP multicast routing: IGMP, PIM, MSDP.LAN switching. VLANs, IEEE 802 standards, PAgP, LACP, MLAG Routing & Sw platforms: Cisco: Catalyst, Nexus, ASR 1K, ISR; Arista, Juniper MXNetwork OS: Cisco IOS, IOS XE, NXOS, Arista EOSFamiliarity with Cisco branch/campus product lines and road maps.

Wireshark proficient

Desire and ability to assimilate new technologies and know where industry trend

Desire to work in a lab environment

Knowledge of Ixia or Spirent test/ test libraries for testing, automation and regression - a major plus

Ability to prioritise effectively with good time management skills

Excellent interpersonal skills.Excellent writing skills are a must
