Distribution Technician
Logan, UT
12 Month contract-Possible Temp to Perm

Shifts available: 
1st shift (6am - 2:30pm)
2nd shift- (2pm-10pm)
3rd shift (10pm – 6:30 am)


Role Summary/Purpose:

The Distribution Technician executes the receiving, storing, picking, staging and distribution of materials required for assembly/manufacture of product.

Essential Responsibilities
•Perform physical movement of materials from one area to another using handcarts or fork lifts
•Picks parts/products for shipments ensuring accuracy of identification and quantity
•Physically and systemically receive/issue individual material requisitions from internal and external departments
•Create and/or maintain transactional inventory records
•Maintain accurate files of packing and shipping activity
•Communicate/notify appropriate personnel of shipping/inventory discrepancies
•Fill kits and deliver to production as required
•Maintain stocking/inventory objectives
•Quantifies and verifies cycle count
•Comply with EHS & Quality System regulations and policies
•Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements
•High school Diploma or local equivalent
•Demonstrate ability to read, write and speak in English
•Proficient in basic mathematics
•Ability to communicate well and work with others
•Basic computer skills
•Ability to utilize automated lifting equipment – have forklift certification or ability to become certified
• Must be willing and able to work the 2nd shift.

Physical Requirements:
• Capable of working in extreme cold conditions(-20 ̊c or -4 ̊f) on a regular basis
•Frequently move, lift, carry, push or pull weights up to 50 lbs unassisted and occasionally lift/move weights greater than 50 lbs with assistance.
•Frequently climb stairs and ladders
•Frequently squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, turn, pivot and reach
•Frequently work at heights using fall protection equipment while operating man lift to pick orders
•Frequently sit on and operate a powdered industrial truck
•Ability to continuously stand or walk
•Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
•Ability to withstand changes in temperatures in a typical ambient and freezer warehouse environment
•Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus on objects
•2+ years of experience in storing and material handling
•Previous experience with Oracle and Master Control
•Knowledge of computerized material flow methods
•Basic knowledge of quality and inventory control
•Prior experience using a forklift and weight scales
