They want someone with experience with Articulate Storyline (any version). This is the development software they use to create their content.


The Learning & Development Technical Content Developer is responsible for creating new and modifying existing self-paced courseware using industry-standard development tools. Ideal candidates must possess strong Storyline (v2/v3 or 365) skills, have proficiency with video/audio file editing (e.g. Camtasia) and use of Microsoft Office products. This role requires collaboration with Client University peers, business and service line leaders and subject matter experts. Must have previous/present experience developing e-learning technical course content for one or more of the following areas: Microsoft products (e.g. Windows, Office), Cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Azure), SharePoint or Office 365, computer systems, network administration and cybersecurity-related topics.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Learning & Development Approach & Framework:
The role is responsible for building learning & development solutions based on sound design principles and a set of critical competencies. The position is responsible for the design & build of experiential e-learning to achieve a documented learning outcome. Ultimately, the goal is to accelerate the time to competence, support continuous improvement, and enhance effectiveness for the learner.
  1. Team Collaboration:
This individual is expected to maximize team engagement through participation and collaboration with other team members in the achievement of shared goals. The individual is expected to focus on the success of the overall team by supporting the efforts of others. The individual will also provide balanced feedback to peers and management, and openly receive feedback from others.


CONSULTING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Required
  • 5+ years e-learning design and development experience in a professional setting
  • Proven experience applying adult learning principles and developing organizational capability
  • Experience working with SMEs to design and develop e-learning
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively as needed
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and interpersonal
  • Self-starter, energetic and driven
  • Foundational knowledge of industry technical concepts and solutions such as cybersecurity, TCP/IP and Cloud (preferably AWS and Azure), basic operating system administration skills for Windows and Linux
Preferred
  • Degree in a related field, facilitation and instructional design experience with technical (e.g. product and/or solutions training)
  • Project management experience
IMPLEMENTATION SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Required
  • Experience designing self-paced e-learning content using Articulate Storyline (any version)
  • Experience creating and editing videos using Techsmith Camtasia Studio
  • Ability to create and edit PowerPoint presentations, including animations and timings
Preferred
  • Experience using other e-learning content creation tools (e.g. GoAnimate)
  • Basic graphic design ability (combine provided graphics and text in an appealing way)
  • Experience implementing any form of gamification in e-learning
  • Experience adding social components to e-learning
