The Research Solutions Architect, Clinical Solutions, has the overall responsibility for design and planning for complex, integrated or interoperated care delivery workflows. The incumbent will be responsible for defining application solutions for the clinical research areas of Health's operations and the CTSI Informatics and Research Innovation (IRI) Program. The incumbent will foster and guide IT-enabled transformation initiatives to ensure application/data integrity while incorporating leading edge technology/functionality to support the organization.

Plans, implements and supports clinical software, hardware, operating systems and / or distributed clinical information systems of moderate to significant scope and complexity in support of clinical and translational research.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Req / Pref
Detail oriented, with proven organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and see projects through to completion on deadline. Required
Thorough knowledge of the processes and procedures related to healthcare research. Hands on experience with research interventions, IRB, informed consent, randomization, and grant applications / proposals. Preferred
Thorough knowledge of clinical applications concepts, policies, and practices, including planning, design, development, testing, integrations of software and systems, programming, and training and support methodologies. Required
Excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills, to quickly troubleshoot problems, and develop and apply analytics to identify and implement successful solutions. Required
Excellent communications skills to convey complex information clearly and concisely to all levels of staff and management, with the ability to motivate, influence, and persuade others, and cultivate a strong commitment to efficiency, functionality, and quality customer service. Required
Thorough knowledge of healthcare information technology, medical terminology and leading clinical information systems. In-depth and comprehensive understanding of clinical applications and integration with clinical processes and workflows. Required
Ability to work with senior staff and managers, serving as a technical resource and providing advice and counsel on issues of functionality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, policy, and performance. Required

Demonstrated expertise with Epic Chronicles DBMS and Cache Programming Preferred
