Minimum Qualifications
*Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Business, Statistics or Finance or equivalent experience
*5 years of related business experience
*Experience in data & financial analysis and management
*Experience in maintenance and construction-related activities

Desired Qualifications
*Process improvement experience
*Excel skills: perform lookups, create pivot tables, create macros, perform error-checking
*Access skills: create databases, write queries (including join queries, which are somewhat similar to Excel lookups), create macros, perform error-checking
*Experience with CLICK scheduling or equivalent
*Program or project management experience
*Experience with work plans and resource management
*Lean six sigma or other process improvement certification or experience
*Technical skills using systems and applications such as SAP, R/3, Business Warehouse, Business Objects *Access, Excel, PowerPoint skills to develop reports, do analysis and deliver presentations
*Ability to present complex data and findings to internal audiences
*Ability to apply knowledge and skill to resolve complex problems
*Solid understanding of utility budget process, cost model and regulatory recovery process
*Knowledge of program management
*Knowledge of CLICK scheduling or equivalent

Quals--
Position Summary The Work & Resource Analyst develops and communicates an integrated and optimized work plan portfolio for gas transmission and gas distribution.
-Develops effective working relationships with functional leads to establish the baseline strategic approach to work plan execution. They will build 90-day work plans, system plan, plan vs. actuals, leak plans, and ad-hoc analyses.
-Evaluates work portfolios ensuring associated costs, timing and resources needed are integrated and optimized to execute work plans efficiently.
-Develops contingency plans as needed.
-Monitors execution and updates portfolios for planning purposes. They will drive strategic adjustments as needed to work portfolios.
-Working with key stakeholders they will identify work plans for short and long- term business improvements.
-Contributes toward Gas Safety Excellence goals by improving safety, reliability and affordability for one or more asset families and one or more life cycles.

Responsibilities
-
Provide expert consulting to the client, to identify and satisfy client business needs.
-Analyze end-to-end business processes and information needs of varying complexity, encompassing one or more Company business functional operations and potentially external entities.
-Understand the client's current and future business environment, effectively anticipate, identify, and fully meet all business needs.
-Propose, evaluate and document alternatives that will provide the most effective solution to solve business problems including delivery of new business initiatives.
-Anticipate client concerns and questions and provide timely, professional, and client-focused communications via meetings, status reports, phone, and email and follow through with results.
-Prepare communications and make presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives.
-Provide client support on the effective use of production systems.
-Research potential system issues in transaction processing and data quality.
-Provide timely responses for client inquiries.
-Work with team members, supervisor, and client organizations as appropriate to ensure smooth system operations to minimize impact on business operations and enable the business to achieve results.
-Lead and/or support recovery of production system issues, including business process recovery.
-Define and document business requirements.
-Prepare functional specification documents for one or more applications or one or more system functions. Prepare business cases in support of business initiatives.
-Prepare technical specification documents.
-Prepare and/or review test plans and perform quality reviews on test results.
-Perform functional integration testing of transactional processing, data extracts, and reporting.
-Comply with SOX documentation and other standard process requirements as appropriate.
-Configure system parameters or soft tables to enable application functions to perform per specifications.
-Develop queries to extract data or create operational reports using production databases.
-Perform unit, string, and functional integration tests to ensure application solutions and reports satisfy defined functional and/or technical specifications.
-Conduct all work safely and promote safe work practices.
-Attend all safety meetings and training sessions.
-Comply with all Utility safety best practices and safety accountability model.
