In Vitro Biologist

Position Description: In Vitro Biologist
 
Assist in vitro and ex vivo experiments to support drug discovery programs within the Department of Cardiovascular and Fibrotic Diseases Discovery.
 
EDUCATION PREFERRED: B.S or M.S. in cell physiology, biochemistry or related discipline.
 
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: > 2-15 years of relevant experience after degree
 
LIST MAJOR SKILLS REQUIRED: Biologist with technical expertise and knowledge in biophysics and cardiac physiology. Background/experience with stopped-flow kinetics, IonOptix, isolated force measurements, and myocardium components from trabeculae to myofibrils is a plus. Proficiency in data collection, organization, computation and graphical representation using Graphpad Prism. The candidate will pro-actively investigate, improve, change or adapt existing methods and techniques.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, along with track record of proactive collaboration with scientists in a laboratory and working group environment.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES REQUIRED: The successful candidate will support in vitro studies. Responsibilities will include execution of in vitro experiments, recording and analyzing data and presenting results.
