Associate Analyst

Identify new sources of data and methods to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting. Collect, analyze, and report data to meet customer needs. Typically requires 3-5 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree.
The Associate Analyst reports to the Operations Manager Transportation. This role focuses on driving medium-to long term improvements within forecasting for the Outbound Transportation. Functions of the role include generating outbound package forecast, carrier capacity management, supporting Optibid exercise, and maintain relationship with Carriers and other key stakeholders from Client. The Transportation Team is responsible for driving the final-mile experience for customers and the first step to improve the experience is by generating accurate projections to deliver upon. The successful candidate will be an individual who has the ability to identify and support strategic improvement initiatives for forecasting and Optibid, while being able to dive deep into areas of opportunity and develop solutions as needed. This person will work cross-functionally with multiple technical and operational teams within the Supply Chain organization. Superior analytics and forecast modeling skills are necessary, and will be required in order to continuously improve the forecasting accuracy.

• Develop and review forecasting and modeling processes on a regular basis to identify opportunities for forecast accuracy. • Generate analyses, presentations, and recommendations to drive operational improvements for our outbound and inbound forecast. • Troubleshoot data issues and work with internal business partners to derive and build customized reports or dashboards to investigate opportunities. • Upload, maintain and report carrier capacity settings to support direct lane as well as peak management. • Develop relationships with Carriers, Client Supply Chain teams and Carrier Relations team in Bentonville, and other operational groups to communicate and best leverage accurate forecasting. • Mature, refine, and report on KPIs to effectively manage forecasting accuracy.

Preferred skills:
VBA; Tableau; KNIME. • Manages multiple projects at once while ensuring deadlines are met and data output is accurate. • Utilizes macro skills to build scalable processes and drive automation of daily tasks. • Ensures integrity and efficiency of reports and data. • Proven experience leading data driven projects from definition through interpretation and execution stages. Interpersonal Competencies: • Capacity to communicate complex concepts in easy-to-understand terminology. • Effective communication skills to reach multiple levels of the organization, including senior management and cross-functional groups. Preferred Educational Level:
• Bachelors degree in supply chain, business, engineering, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or STEM related fields

Required experience:
1+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or in a business analyst capacity.

Preferred experience:
2+ years of data management experience, including query development, root-cause analysis, and dashboard optimization
