Client is hiring a Software Automation Engineer - SWET to work in Westlake, Texas at Client Investments.
We are seeking a Software Engineer in Test responsible for assisting in the testing of Client brokerage applications and enhancements.

The Expertise We're Looking For
Programming experience with Java/J2EE, Unix/Linux shell, perl , HTML, JavaScript, Spring, Web Services
Test automation experience using jUnit, Selenium, Cucumber, ReadyAPI, Rest Assured
Test automation experience using JS frameworks such as Jasmine, karma, protractor is a plus
Incorporate and streamline test automation into build pipelines and quality gates
Excellent knowledge of the software development lifecycle and are familiar with Agile Ceremonies

Primary Responsibilities
  • Use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promote proper software engineering  and bug prevention strategies, testability and security
  • Actively participate in the development process through writing and maintaining application features and automated tests including unit tests, component tests, integration tests, functional tests, performance tests, scenario tests and interoperability tests
  • Support the team in designing reliable, portable, accurate and trustworthy tests, and in integrating them into CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborate with team members on improving the team's test coverage, release velocity and production health. Participate in application and test code reviews
  • Gain product management skills by coordinating End to End testing efforts across multiple teams to arrive at bug free product
  • Drive innovation by creating modern and standardized business process automation across multiple team platforms to ensure the correct data flows, data integrity, and processes are in place.
Qualifications
  • 2-5+ years' experience in Java/J2EE
  • 5+ years' experience designing and building applications and using Test Automation frameworks
  • 5+ years' experience configuring and maintaining Continuous Integration jobs
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, and testing
  • Basic Knowledge of Selenium UI Automation Framework
  • Basic Knowledge of Maven and Maven Dependency Management a plus
  • Practical experience with Test Driven Development or Behavior Driven Development a plus
