Senior Java Developer needed for major Financial client in New York, NY.
*We are looking for a hands-on Senior Java developer to join our Bank CIO team developing the data analytics infrastructure and reporting tools to assist with deposits, lending product pricing, portfolio and pipeline management.
*The candidate will be part of the core team responsible for design and implementation of complex financial systems for Private Banking focusing on the Mortgage Reporting platform to enhance the bank's lending businesses.
*The candidate will also be involved in our new strategic initiative to enhance the experience for International Banking and Lending clients by the reduction of turnaround time and expansion of product capabilities.
*The candidate needs to be a self-starter, capable of solving problems and developing technology projects from start to finish
* 5+ years hands-on expertise in developing enterprise level applications using Java technologies.
* Experience with distributed architecture including web services and messaging.
*2+ years of experience in RDBMS databases, JDBC, and database access technologies (Sybase, DB2 preferred but not required).
Job Functions/Duties and Responsibilities:
*Responsible for the design and development of core Java applications
*Analyze user requirements, envision system features and functionality.
*Interface with global team of developers and business users.
*Compile, design and implement robust automated solutions.
*Produce proof of concepts in the new areas of development.
*Investigate production issues.
*Support continuous improvement of the automated systems.
*Participate in all aspects of SDLC (analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation)
and participate in Scrum calls to ensure smooth software delivery
