Business Development - Intermediate

Accountability to identify and obtain prospects for a newly launched global connectivity platform that is focused on IoT, M2M and data solutions leveraging rugged mobile computing.  Increasing usage, developing a customer base and revenue growth will be key activities. Internal sales training, roadshows and qualifying opportunities across Client are key initiatives in developing this new line of business with a global focus. Organizing and attending industry events will be required along with face-to-face presentations to executive level, IT experts and top customers and prospects. Candidate will have proven expertise in managing domestic and international carrier contracts. 
Up to 40% travel is expected. This job and the lean structure will require the candidate to be flexible, and wear many hats as required. However, the Business Development Manager will have certain constant duties and accountability in three key areas. 
  1. Program Development -  Develop program structure and process to include contract execution, end user pilots, sales training, and lead generation. Maintain Subject matter expertise on all aspects of product.
  2. Sales and Business Development -  Collaborate and consult with Client Sales teams, Carriers and 3rd party suppliers to qualify information to build and capitalize on unique wireless products and wireless program.  
Market Development - Promote all solutions compatible with new offerings through presentations, training sessions, and speaking engagements.

To succeed in this role, you must have proven experience in mobile computing specifically in the B2B wireless industry in developing IoT, M2M, global connectivity solutions.  Proven success in your ability to launch a new business initiative. Additionally, you must be organized, innovative and be adaptable to rapid change and expertise in developing marketing materials and presentations are required.
Key skills include:
  • 3-7 years of business sales development experience in the Carrier/Wireless solutions category.
  • Experience in launching new product lines with recurring revenue streams. Must possess an understanding of the customer life-cycle, subscriber base management and profitability.
  • Experienced in financial forecasting, business case development and ownership.
  • Experience in using Salesforce analytics to develop product specific leads.
  • Strong project management skills and comfortable working across functional teams.
  • Experienced in new product development, skilled at managing new product launches and monetizing relationships.
  • Ability to deliver persuasive presentations to all levels of customers and generate enthusiasm for Client's breath of products.
  • Effective at developing product messaging, marketing materials and customer presentations.
  • Proven expertise in executing product roadmaps, developing business requirements, launching new products, developing go-to market strategies, conducting customer research, and successfully delivering profitable results.
  • Experience in supporting complex solutions through pilots and solution delivery.
  • Self-starter that can operate independently as a product owner and execute collaboratively as part of a team within a matrix-organization.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite products, particularly PowerPoint.
Education Requirements
BS/BA in business/marketing or other degree with focus relevant to the assigned sector is a minimum.
