Job description:

The candidate will be part of a team responsible for product integration of our tool sets within our infrastructure landscape.
The primary function of this role will be performance tooling instrumentation of the Brokerage application portfolio. In addition, the successful candidate will need to interface with the application developers and support teams in order to feed client requirements back into the tools, products and instrumentation standards.
The candidate must possess a strong ability to coordinate and execute tasks across technology silos / divisions, and must demonstrate superior communication skills as to seamlessly operate with all levels of staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Integrate multiple vendor and in-house performance tools together to create end-to-end visibility of transaction flow
• Deploy and configure vendor performance monitoring tools in our highly customized web and container-based infrastructure
• Build and maintain relationships with business unit technical groups utilizing the team's products, and provide performance consultancy
• Support operations teams as engineering escalation point on the plant and provide engineering on-call cover for the plants/products we're responsible for.

Required skills:

• 3 to 7 years of relevant experience
• Customer focused
• Experience in developing performance tests for Web Services
• Web Technologies experience with Client-side web technologies including HTML5, CSS, Ajax/JSON, Angular, Javascript, SOAP Configuring and deploying web servers/application servers including IIS, Apache, Tomcat, Websphere. Overall understanding of Web Services
• Experience in one of the following languages: Perl, Python, C#, Java, and/or ASP.NET
• Solid understanding of the web performance 'big picture', from TCP/network level concerns through browser rendering and server-side runtime deep-dive- Networking
• Understanding of TCP/IP at its various layers
• Ability to troubleshoot problems at the networking layer- Understanding, and experience with, load-balancing and clustering

Desired Skills:

• Strongly preferred: Monitoring technologies subject matter expertise in the areas of: Transaction TracingDeep Dive application analytics
• Preference for someone with linux infrastructure background
• Understanding of monitoring technologies in the areas of: Synthetic Monitoring Real End-User Monitoring
• Proven track record in working with large scale, complex Engineering / Infrastructure initiatives
• Self-starter with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive to completion
• Exposure to ITIL and SDLC
• Experience with Selenium, PhantomJS, Dynatrace, or similar synthetic user generating tools
• Experience with various authentication methods such as SPNEGO, Siteminder, Kerberos and LDAP
• Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Mathematics
