Job description:
Client's projects span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique implementation challenges we face daily. As a Senior IT Program Manager, you lead complex, cross-team strategic technology initiatives end-to-end. You are an entrepreneurial leader able to gain stakeholder trust and adept at influencing others. You are able to secure resources needed for delivery, escalate issues and anticipate project specific risks to ensure timely and on-budget implementations. You're excellent at communicating to all levels and are comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing technical trade-offs or dependencies with application developers. This Senior IT Program Manager position will provide integral support to implementing initiatives and improving program/project management maturity of the Global Technology and Operations organization.

Summary of responsibilities:
• Deep evidence of matrixed leadership across global teams.
• Leads multiple teams and parallel workstreams in delivery of quality software and technology solutions, working closely with technical teams to develop and track release milestones and schedules.
• Coordinates with partners to deliver value and realization of clear business benefits.
• Builds relationships with business and technology executives and user/customer base.
• Develops and manages project plans, work process investment plan, demand and project staging plans with business partners and shared services.
• Accountable for large projects or portfolio of projects upwards of $10 million annually.
• Manages teams of project managers, vendors, and technical leads in a highly matrixed organization.
• Identifies and coordinates heavy interdependencies to ensure timing and alignment of releases, hardware, and resources.
• Ensures communication, coordination of activities, and issue resolution amongst core team members, senior management and other stakeholders.
• Manages focused project recovery activities including quick situational analysis, needs assessment, and hands-on collaboration to bring in distressed projects and teams back on track.

Required experience
• 10+ years related work experience successfully managing large, complex projects
• PMP or familiarity with PMI frameworks
• Demonstrated risk management skills and experience
• Demonstrated dependency management skills and experience
• Demonstrated stakeholder management skills and experience
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills, understands what it takes to deliver software with exposure to large-scale systems
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical abilities.
