Laboratory Associate

Second shift - Monday –Friday 2pm-10:30pm
OR
3rd shift- Monday- Friday 10:00pm-6:30am


To perform raw material sampling and bulk testing. Provide backup coverage for basic laboratory testing of raw materials. Perform all non-micro finished goods testing and create COAs in Zontec. Perform material handling functions for quality in the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities (in descending order of importance):
Perform raw material sampling and labeling (release and/or expired)
Bulk testing, release, and labeling
Perform non-micro finished goods testing
Box all retain samples and log samples in retain log
Retrieve all finished goods samples from production and stage samples for testing in the lab.
Quality Projects as assigned
Audit BMPs
Generate reports relating to raw materials from SAP
Provide backup for basic chemical testing (ex. Organoleptic, pH, SPG, Penetration) of raw material testing
Initiate OOS, Deviations, Client as needed
Sample expired bulk
Perform swabbing for environmental monitoring process
Additional Responsibilities as Assigned:
Perform Visual inspections of production lines
Audit line clearance
Proficient with the capability to review Zontec Data from both the production lines and quality lab to ensure that finished goods meet the required quality requirements.
Perform AQL inspections on finished goods as needed
Ability to conduct an Quality Investigation and complete associated quality documentation
Scope Factors:
Follow all Safety, GLP, GDP, and GMP regulations and procedures
RFI Participant and/or Lead.
FI Participant as assigned.
Create JIBS and JAs relevant to job functions
Perform material handling functions for quality labeling.
Order and maintain supplies needed for raw material sampling
Perform all training related to safety, GMP, sustainability, and environmental


Minimum Requirements:
Education Level/Degree; Years and Type of Experience: High School diploma required, and at least six months of cosmetic manufacturing laboratory experience.
Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated knowledge using appropriate laboratory instrumentations is required
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding GMPs and GLPs
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Microsoft office and efficient
Knowledge and understanding of laboratory safety is required
Ability to maintain forklift certification
Ability to lift minimum of 20lbs
Ability to work in a lab environment and warehouse environment
