Works with staff, volunteers, members, chapters, and other client divisions to achieve the client's social impact and member value goals in the state. Develops a presence in communities through strengthening visibility, enhancing volunteer capacity, building community partnerships, delivering client programs and activities, and outreach to client members. Engages volunteers in community outreach, key relationship building, grassroots activities, and educational forums. Works to engage members and volunteers from diverse communities in the activities of the organization. Requires a significant amount of autonomy and independent judgment. Must be able to understand the landscape he/she operates in and determine opportunities for success in advancing clients's strategic priorities through building member engagement and partnerships. Requires significant consultation and collaboration with state colleagues, as well as national office staff. Maintains a basic knowledge of everything that the clients state office is involved in, from social impact to member value and public policy campaigns and programs. Positions at this level exercise project latitude to accomplish assigned work duties and responsibilities. Work responsibilities definitively contribute to the achievement of departmental/team goals and objectives.

- Recruit, train, establish and support volunteer teams, with the goal of creating community empowerment through active advocacy, community service, and leadership volunteers
- Maintain established business hours at the Atwater Resource Center
- Promote the clients Kansas activities and services through various forms of media and outreach
- Meet with local stakeholders to represent the client
- Refine program tactics to meet the needs of the target audience
- Demonstrate the clients non-partisan and leadership behaviors in all interactions
