Connectivity Specialist

The Connectivity Specialist is an integral member of the connectivity team and is responsible for interfacing with external and internal clients to organize, coordinate, and implement short-term client connectivity onboarding projects in a timely manner. This includes connectivity setup, data delivery, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.


Coordinate and implement the client connectivity onboarding process. The process includes gathering client requirements, coordinating the connectivity provisioning process, testing provisioned components, and data delivery setup of requested messages and files. Ensures completion of Infrastructure and security components required for connectivity: Router/Firewall, Protocol Installation (e.g., sFTP, NDM, MQ). Troubleshoot connectivity and data delivery issues with clients. Interface with other DTCC teams as needed to resolve client connectivity and data delivery issues. Review and respond to client queries that are addressed to the team. Develop workflows and procedures for new products/services and technologies supported by CAPS. Ability to respond to inquiries regarding file setups and other business or data related issues for all applications supported by the department. Assist with rollouts of system enhancements for the tools we use to support clients. Individual will need to be available and be able to support all business functions off hours and/or from home on an as needed basis.




3 - 5 years' experience in network and/or systems technical project coordination; or, in a financial services technical operations role. Good understanding of data communications, including routers and firewalls. Working knowledge of data delivery/transmission protocols such as sFTP, SSL/TLS, Connect:Direct (NDM), SWIFT, FIX and MQ. Working knowledge of VPN software such as Client Global Network Client. Ability to coordinate simultaneous connectivity onboarding projects and manage priorities and tracking.
