Description/Comment:JOB SUMMARY:
Principal responsibilities include design and integration of aircraft avionics and electrical systems for Special Missions modifications. Requires coordination with multiple technical stakeholders. In this position, the candidate will work closely with IPT members (such as Program Management, Technical Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning, Supply Chain, & Quality Assurance) to achieve the desired design requirements and objectives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Integrate Special Missions equipment on a variety of aircraft platforms for missions including the following:
o Intelligence/Surveillance/Reconnaissance, Aerial Survey, Air Ambulance, Flight Inspection, Float Operations, Parachute, Maritime Patrol, Search & Rescue, Training, Utility/Transport
• Prepare engineering drawings for avionics and electrical system interface wiring using computer based drafting tools (CATIA/CCD, Mentor Graphics and/or IAI HarnesSys)
• Utilize electronic test equipment to verify avionics and electrical systems meet design requirements, and/or for system troubleshooting in the lab and on aircraft
• Prepare engineering trade studies, functional test procedures, certification plans, ground and flight test plans, certification reports, and other engineering documents
• Write technical descriptions of subject matter pertinent to design or test requirements. Includes descriptions of supplier parts, test or rigging specifications, etc.
• Assist with the evaluation and analysis of avionics and electrical system design for completion of function hazard assessments and system safety assessments.
• Assist with the development, design, testing and certification documentation for new or modified printed circuit board modules for aircraft
