Job Description:
  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates information technology File-based Storage infrastructure operations.
  • Determines and implements the proper implementation of file storage technology in support of administrator requirements to ensure the proper data protection is in place.
  • The targeted candidate will also have experience in allocating block storage in a Brocade SAN environment.
  • Serves as primary point of contact between administrators and the technology support staff.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
  • Individual will report directly to the Director of Storage Operations.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • The person selected for this position will need to have or obtain Tricare certification.
  • Working knowledge / Experience in EMC Isilon and Celerra
  • Familiarity with EMC block storage devices, VMAX2, VMAX3, VNX, etc...
  • Working knowledge / Experience in EMC InsightIQ
  • Familiarity with EMC management tools such as Unisphere and Navisphere
  • Working knowledge of Service Now
  • Basic knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Unix Operations – knowledge of basic commands
  • Ability to configure CIFS/NFS shares according to specific settings for security and data availability in both Isilon and Celerra
  • Ability to troubleshoot file shares and data mount points on Windows, Unix and Linux servers with varied configurations, such as SQL clusters, Oracle applications, DB2 databases
  • Ability to performed storage functional tasks for server and file system upon customer request in a calm and controlled fashion while maintaining consistent communication with the customer
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to be on-call for emergency production backup/restore issues
  • May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and 5-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
**** Chosen resource will be touching TRICARE Data, thus per US Gov't directive resources must be US Citizen and able to pass Security clearance for TRICARE certification.
Individual needs to have or obtain Tricare certification within 90 days of start date.****
