Works fairly independently, this role performs complex planning and evaluation of voice and/or data network systems. Develops standards, applications. Resolves network problems. Provides highly skilled technical assistance in network planning, engineering, and architecture. Provides resolution for network problems. May interface with vendors to identify and purchase hardware and software. Is responsible for working with an individual business unit on multi-project assignments. Guides and advises less experienced Network Analysts. Monitored on project's progress and results. Errors may cause delay, expense and disruption.

Able to handle the most complex work and all aspects of the job using wide knowledge of the field and mastery (advanced knowledge, skill and/or abilities that provides subject matter authority and superior command in a particular job) of the subject matter may provide input in setting objectives and policy, identifying critical issues and introducing new concepts makes decisions independently provides assistance, advice, and solutions to peers, customers, and co-workers identifies and implements better work alternatives and business processes.

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Network Administrator for operational implementation, maintenance and configuration of large enterprise networks

Job Responsibilities
  • Performs maintenance and changes on Routers and Switches as required
  • Implementation of new routers and switches as required
  • Assists with troubleshooting internetwork connectivity
  • Utilizes change management, request, and ticketing systems, documents status updates and problem resolutions
  • Complete All assignments in a timely manner with an acceptable level of quality
  • Maintains documentation related to work area
  • Completes network change requests
  • Follows documented processes, procedures and policies
  • Performs customer service duties and responds to customer and project requests as defined by management
  • Other related duties assigned as needed

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience administering Routers and Switches
  • Must have experience with Cisco router and switches, Brocade and Juniper a plus
  • Must have networking TCP/IP routing experience
  • Deep understanding of network protocols –EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, QOS, STP, DHCP, SNMP, TCP, UDP.
  • Must have intermediate experience with network break/fix of layer 2 and 3 environments
  • Ability to make recommendations to create corporate efficiencies for all activities
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work effectively under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be team-oriented, placing priority on quality and the successful completion of team goals
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Network related industry certifications a plus.
  • Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or Computer Sciences is a plus but not required.
  • Linux System Admin or Windows Server experience is a major plus but not required
