Laboratory Systems Engineer

The Laboratory Systems Engineer will provide support for benchtop laboratory instrument computers and local support for enterprise systems. The goal is to ensure reliable 24/7 operation for the laboratory. As part of a regulated industry proper documentation and adherence to company policies and procedures is required.

1. A successful candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Engineering, Science or equivalent field with at least 3 years of experience preferably in the pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry. Experience and knowledge of GMP, 21CFR Part 11, Data Integrity and laboratory IT systems is required.

2. A successful candidate will possess: a. Skills and experience working in diverse, multi-disciplined work groups. b. Experience and/or substantial understanding of Lab system principles and common system vendors' available products. c. Experience with automated laboratory systems and technology. d. Ability to work in a diverse work environment, and manage multiple priorities, and at times, be self-directed in a fast paced environment.

3. A successful candidate will have knowledge of laboratory software technologies.

4. Preferred candidates are hands-on individual that are willing to take initiative.

5. Experience with Windows 7/10 PC configuration and familiarity GMP laboratory instrumentation and its software is favored. Experience with HPALM, Lab Execution System (SmartLab), Empower, and/or NuGenesis would be beneficial.

6. Additional skills of Crystal Reports, SQL Reports, html, and xsl expertise may be useful but are not required.

7. Excellent written and communication skills are required.
