Answer inbound calls to Credit Risk hotlines for multiple Operating Companies. Provide courteous, prompt and accurate responses regarding Credit questions and requests. Process credit applications and credit requests. Provide education regarding Credit procedures and decisions to Customer Service, Sales and other departments. Assist Credit Analysts and Credit Manager as needed. Good attendance and punctuation is a requirement.


1. Maintains responsibility for answering Credit Risk hotlines for YRC, Holland, and Reddaway operating companies. Resolves situations according to YRCW Enterprise Services credit policies, practices, and procedures and updates account information in mainframe as needed.
2. Obtain knowledge and understanding of YRC, Holland, and Reddaway mainframes to allow the job responsibilities required to be performed at an acceptable level.
3. Processes YRC credit requests through YRC mainframe, obtains Credit Score from credit reporting agencies needed to make sound credit decisions. This includes Credit Applications in hard copy and electronic format.
4. Works closely with Credit Analysts and Credit Manager on projects (i.e. bankruptcy preferences, miscellaneous projects, etc.).
5. Shares responsibility for working daily Credit reports (i.e. Blank Indicator report, Reactivation spreadsheet, Credit Threshold report, bankruptcy notifications).


1. Ability to express both written and verbal ideas clear and concisely. Listens and responds to questions with complete and accurate answers to all levels of management, staff, and customers.
2. Three to five years work experience with exposure to one or more of the following: AS/400, Collections, Payment Processing, Rating, Credit, or Customer Service.
3. Attention to detail with ability to organize, prioritize workflow, and multitask.
4. Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge required.
5. Good attendance and punctuation is a requirement.


1. Two years college or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
2. Commercial Credit experience.
3. Understands D&B credit reports.
4. Knowledge of transportation industry.
