Production Associate - Fabrication- 1st shift

Job Functions:
• Perform complete set up and operation of multiple machines to fabricate wood and plexiglas components for product assemblies to meet customer demands
• Maintain necessary records for all operations.
• Monitor equipment conditions and perform basic preventative maintenance.
• Checks completed parts to ensure compliance to Worcester Plant Quality standards and makes necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goals.
• Adheres to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions.
• Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S.
• Assist team in achieving plant and department goals.
• Assist with on-the-job training and continuous improvement
• Fosters an environment that promotes Client’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications
• One year working experience in fabrication or machine operation.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Must be able to lift parts up to 35 pounds.
• Legally authorized to work in the Client States without company sponsorship.
• Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographic area (60 mile radius) will be considered.

Position Criteria
• Working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a
manufacturing facility.
• Basic computer knowledge of Windows based operating systems and programs.
• Ability to read and understand formal, informal drawings, and/or engineering drawings
• Knowledge of basic shop math
• Ability to use measuring tape and variable gauges
• Ability to read and follow standard work
• Ability to use good judgment and problem solving skills to make informed decisions
• Must be able to communicate effectively across all levels.

Preferred:
• Manufacturing systems knowledge (KANBAN, JIT, Production scheduling)
