SUMMARY
Develop the creation of XML content for the internal publishing of technical documents in support of deliverables for Commercial and Mil Spec Electronic Technical Manuals (ETMs). Interface and act as the liaison between the internal and external customers to resolve any hardware or software issues related to the documentation standards and the client publishing standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Author XML in accordance with the MIL STD and ensure the IETM will conform to the Document Type Definitions (DTDs) currently in use.
2. Plans and schedules work activities to complete assignments in their order of priority and to make the most effective use of time.
3. Communicate effectively.
4. Contributes to a favorable working climate within the client through a friendly manner and cooperative attitude in dealing with other employees and customers.
5. Supports the development of operator, Trouble shooting, maintenance manuals using desktop publishing software, which adheres to documentation guidelines and templates to ensure the resulting materials are substantively complete and exhibit a professional and consistent "look and feel.”
6. Supports the development of publication content in p/c based desktop publishing and illustrating software.
7. Provides assistance to internal and external customers in the use of operator and service manuals.
8. Follows established departmental and other required procedures.
9. Willingly assists others as necessary to meet deadlines.
10. Understands fully the requirements of our jobs and the systems that support us.
11. Fulfills these requirements in a timely manner.
12. Other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Some travel required.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Computer skills in Desktop Publishing XML required: Suggested Software Familiarity: PTC's WINDCHILL, IADS, Arbortext, Framemaker, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Adobe Acrobat.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to interface with the Product Support Value Stream Zone members and leads.
• A continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong computer problem solving skills.
