As a Corporate Actions/Proxy Expert, you can expect to be involved in a whole host of activities:
The success of the team will all come down to you, as you make sure that transaction processing is done in a timely, complete and accurate way. We'll also count on you to provide your team with direction, support and guidance and periodically review the effectiveness of processes. You'll also be the main point of contact for any time critical, complex or regulated tasks and ensure the proper escalation of any issues that may arise.

Provide corporate actions and proxy expertise in the Asset Management Operations to portfolio managers, traders, custodians and the like.
The Proxy oversight is responsible for preparing and submitting to the Global Proxy Voting Sub-Committee (GPVSC) relevant information, including vote summaries, proposed guideline amendments and any proxy voting research necessary to facilitate the GPVSC's decision-making process on an issue or meeting. Proxy oversight also serves as a liaison between proxy constituents such as clients, GPVSC, vendors, issuers, custodians and proxy solicitors to facilitate smooth voting and communication processes.
The team member will perform additional oversight responsibilities for notifying the proxy vendor Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) in regard to setting up voting accounts, as well as communicating with custodians in order to maintain the electronic databases, used to track accounts, share amounts, ballots received and proxy votes cast.
Responsibilities will include escalation point for day to day issues, monitoring task execution, tracking trends and issues, handling administrative items for the team.
As Corporate Action expert, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of corporate actions (mandatory and voluntary) on assigned accounts in accordance with established policies and procedures. Monitor that corporate actions for all mutual funds are being performed in an efficient, accurate and timely manner in accordance with established policies and procedures. Lead special projects and fielding questions and requests from internal business partners. Interact with internal business partners to determine the appropriate treatment of complex or unusual corporate actions. Analyzes and interprets corporate action and reorganization data from numerous sources. Ensures that the corporate action support functions are being properly maintained by adequately planning, organizing each function. Ensure that the daily support functions, validating, disseminating and processing corporate actions are performed. Candidate will be responsible for risk management by ensuring corporate actions follow the standard operating procedures, key controls and client specific procedures.
